We've all, at one point in our academic lives, told a lie or two. Ranging from mirage textbooks and handouts to padded school fees to fake expenses.   To start with mine; my dad got me a quite expensive and unfortunately, it got stolen. I couldn't stand and tell him it was stolen because that would be the 4 th time in a row that I'd lose phones. I had to connive with my friend and to lie that robbers invaded my house and made away with all  my belongings. I pray God forgives me.  My friend had to collect 'hollow' matriculation fee from his from his parents all because he was broke and needed to attend a party. AC Milan ready Ronaldo bid AC Milan are readying an offer for Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo, according to reports in Italy. TuttoMercatoWeb (via @Rossonero_Fans on Twitter) state that Milan’s Chinese owners have given the green light to invest €150m for Cristiano Ronaldo. Madrid president Florentino Perez has been informed, while Milan director Marco Fassone and Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes have spoken about Cristiano in “a concrete way”. This comes after reports that Milan’s directors met Mendes in Sardinia earlier in the week to discuss his other clients; namely Renato Sanches, Falcao and Diego Costa. There were rumours shortly after the meeting that CR7’s name had been brought up, but nothing lending itself to concrete interest. Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has reportedly asked Bayern Munich about a deal for Manchester United target Renato Sanches while the two clubs are out in Singapore. That’s according to the  Daily Mirror , who claim Conte has spoken to Bayern chiefs about the possibility of striking a deal for the unwanted Portuguese midfielder. Sanches joined Bayern last summer from Benfica, but has proved a big disappointment and  has been told he can leave for £43million . Conte has been training with his squad using the facilities of the Singapore American School. His side face Inter Milan on Saturday morning in the final game of their Asia Tour. It was after the  Blues’ 3-2 defeat to Bayern on Tuesday  that Conte is understood to have spoken to the German champions about Sanches, the midfielder who gave N’Golo Kante the runaround at the Singapore Sportshub. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, former minister of finance, has been named an independent non-executive director at Standard Chartered PLC. Standard Chartered PLC is a British multinational banking and financial services company headquartered in London, England and with presence in 70 countries. According to a statement released on Thursday, by Jon Tracey, the bank’s media specialist, at the London Stock Exchange, the company said her appointment is effective from November 1, 2017. She will earn £130,000 per annum for her expertise in financial and development financing. “The independent Non-Executive Directors do not participate in any of the Group’s incentive arrangements,” the statement read. “Dr Okonjo-Iweala will receive a fee of GBP100,000 per annum for her services as an independent Non-Executive Director, with an additional fee of GBP30,000 per annum as a member of the Brand, Values and Conduct Committee. The chief executive officer of Google Incorporated, Sundar Pichai, has said his firm would prepare 10 million Africans for ‘jobs of the future’ in the next five years. He said this in a company conference held in Lagos, Thursday. The pledge marked an extension of an initiative Google launched in April 2016 to train young Africans in digital skills. It announced in March it had reached its initial target of training one million people. The company said a combination of in-person and online training would be offered in Swahili, Hausa and Zulu languages. It also mentioned that at least 40 percent of people trained are women. Mr. Pichai said: “Nigerians have to write software for the local economy and we have a program to train over 100,000 software developers in Nigeria.” The company also pledged a commitment of over $20 million in the next five years for nonprofit organisations in Africa.
